After much discussion, and in consideration of the events surrounding the Covid-19 virus outbreak, it has been decided that the World Airways Las Vegas Reunion should be cancelled for this year.

Lyman Hitch and Nancy Peppin have put great effort into planning and coordinating this year’s September reunion. However, due to the serious nature of the Covid-19 virus and the impact it has had on all of our lives, along with the impact it has had on the U.S. economy and the City of Las Vegas, we believe it’s best that we cancel the reunion for this year and put our effort into planning for 2021.
Even though some states are in the process of re-opening business’ the limitations and restrictions being placed on them are mostly unproven and untested, making it unpredictable as to when things will “return to normal”. Also, with the latest economic impact on the airline and oil industry it is uncertain when travel will return to normal. All of these factors, coupled with the probability that there will not be a vaccine for the virus developed anytime soon, have influenced our decision to cancel the reunion for this year.
We know it’s disappointing that we won’t get to have our normal “Crew Party” in Vegas” or have a “great dinner and show”, and won’t get to share some quality time with our “best friends” this year, you can be sure we’ll plan on having a bigger and better reunion next year.
